The challenge:
Perforations in a material web can be used to determine the material's position within the machine. These perforations can be tear-off perforations in bags or intentional perforations designed to define a position. Perforation detection using high voltage is independent of the material surface and can even be used with transparent materials. When a perforation passes between the high-voltage electrode and a ground electrode, a spark is generated. This spark is detected, and a pulse signal is then sent to the machine control system.

The solution
With the help of electrostatic equipment, cleverly placed in your production, perforations can be created, for example, with a Perfomaster be skillfully controlled.
