The problem
Static electricity can be used in production processes to bond two materials together without air pockets. Applications that can benefit from this technique include:
– Bonding material by electrostatics on a cooling roller without air inclusion optimizes the cooling process.
– During the production of bags, parts of the bag are held together by electrostatic control to prevent air inclusions during further processing.
A roll of bags or films becomes much denser and less prone to tearing when it is free of air pockets. Product quality improves.
The solution
The materials to be bonded must be Charging electrode Opposite the charging electrode is a grounding reference, e.g., a free-running roller. Depending on the material thickness, speed, and required adhesive force, a static charge of 3 kV to 120 kV can occur.
We can help you solve specific static problems that lead to high-quality, competitive production.
