Description

The CMM (IQ) Easy This is an extremely compact charging generator specifically designed for IML applications. The device features a fully integrated high-voltage generator and requires only a 24V DC power supply. Its compact and robust housing weighs just 480 grams, making it ideal for mounting at the end of the arm in IML pick and place handling systems. It can easily withstand the high G-forces encountered during the IML process.

The CMM (IQ) Easy features a unique (patented) Cycle-OK function.

A signal is activated when the labels have accumulated enough electrostatic charge to indicate that the static charging process is complete. This signal can be used by the machine interface to determine whether to terminate the charging process. A second stage in the cycle, the OK signal, indicates that the charge on the gripper has dropped below a safe level, allowing the gripper to be removed from the mold. This innovative feature significantly simplifies the experimental setup for each individual IML application and during product or label changes, thereby reducing cycle time.

And the best part is: you save money!
The parameters generated by CMM (IQ) Easy allow you to drastically reduce the loading time and thus the overall cycle time of the injection molding process.

  • Accelerated initial setup
  • Faster conversion
  • Shortening of the cycle time
  • Increased reliability

The Cycle OK signal provides further information about the process. If the state of charge deviates from the target value by more than 10 % during charging, the Cycle OK signal is not activated, indicating that the charging process was unsuccessful. This could mean that labels are missing, causing an excessive voltage drop.

The indicator LEDs on both sides of the CMM device display general information about the device's status.
