Description

The Thunderion IQ 2.0 offers long-range static discharge, even up to one meter. Its robust, reinforced, extruded profile design allows for use in industrial environments up to a length of 5 meters. The T-shaped bracket on the back of the Thunderion allows users to position the Simco-ION universal mounting brackets as needed, providing optimal installation flexibility. The disc-shaped emitters differ from conventional emitters, generating a high and consistent ion output. The emitters are impact-resistant, even if accidentally touched. A flexible and replaceable structure prevents damage to the emitters from contact with foreign objects. The Thunderion features an integrated high-voltage power supply and requires only a low-voltage input of 24 V DC. The long-range static discharge neutralization concept is achieved through a combination of pulsed direct current and a low frequency. LEDs on four sides indicate the Thunderion's status.

The completely redesigned housing makes cleaning the ThunderION very easy. The end brackets, middle brackets, side panels, and emitters can all be easily removed to provide access to the entire surface for quick and thorough cleaning.

In certain production processes, it is necessary to neutralize static electricity over very long distances, for example, during the winding and unwinding of webs where the diameter of the winding area is constantly changing. The ThunderION employs a technology that enables neutralization over long distances without the need for air as a transport medium for the ions.
