This is done to achieve optimal quality. Dust particles that are not removed can become trapped in paint and varnish layers, leading to losses in quality and efficiency. Removing dust particles using conventional methods such as wiping with a cloth or blowing with compressed air is not always sufficient. If static electricity is a factor, other measures are necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rhdgmbh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/staub.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"618\" height=\"289\" src=\"https:\/\/rhdgmbh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/staub.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23845\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rhdgmbh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/staub.png 618w, https:\/\/rhdgmbh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/staub-600x281.png 600w, https:\/\/rhdgmbh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/staub-300x140.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conventional cleaning methods such as rubbing and brushing can exacerbate the dust problem. Plastics, in particular, tend to accumulate static electricity, and rubbing increases this charge. Therefore, it is important to eliminate static charges and thus prevent dust particles from attracting the surface to be painted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simco-ion.de\/produkte\/elektrostatik-entladen\/ionenspruehpistolen\/cleanflex-easy\">Simco-Ion ion spray gun<\/a> It fulfills both tasks here: discharge and cleaning. It is a flexible and efficient solution for removing both charges and dust particles in a single treatment. Simco-Ion therefore recommends always using an ion spray gun before spray painting a surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why use ionized air and not just compressed air?<\/strong><br>Removing dust particles from a surface with compressed air without ionizing air is highly ineffective. Compressed air\u2014just like wiping the surface with a dry cloth\u2014creates a new static charge, which increases the attraction of dust particles. Much more air and pressure are needed to move the dust particles. Furthermore, as the dust particles escape the airflow, they are easily pulled back from the surface. Afterwards, there is virtually no attraction between the surface and the dust particles. The dust particles are carried by the air and effectively removed from the surface.
